Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is all set to learn something new and different. The actresss will do a tandav dance in Mani Ratnam’s Raavan for which Padma Shri fusion dancer choreographer Astad has been roped in.
Ash’s dancing prowess is something many high-profile choreographers from Saroj Khan to Shiamak Davar swear by. So it won’t be difficult to rope in the nuances of the new dance form she’s learning at the set of Raavan. Astad chose a tandav of passion, retribution and redemption for Ash, because Mani wanted a fusion of kathak, ballet and contemporary dance.
Apparently, the steps are a bit tough and Ash is made to practice on slippery surfaces. Furthermore, she’s made to do each dance sequence twice, one with Abhishek Bachchan for the Hindi version and the other with Vikram for the Tamil version. However, the actress isn’t complaining and is having a great time learning something new and fresh.
