Remember the Mohra girl? Yes, it’s Raveena Tandon we are talking about. The ravishing Ravs may not be in the mainstram Bollywood circle now, but she was at the Kingsmead on Saturday to cheer the Mumbai Indians.
She is in Durban on the personal invitation of the Ambanis and is enjoying every moment of her time. “Not that I am a huge cricket fan, but my husband is. I am here on an invitation from the Ambanis,” Raveena said, flashing a beautiful smile.
Raveena likes Sachin Tendulkar, “Ravi Shastri is an old friend”, but at the moment her favourite cricketer is Daniel Vettori.
Surprised? Well, she explains: “It’s not for his cricketing skills, but because he looks like my husband,” Raveena smiles. “I keep telling my husband that he looks like Vettori.”
Unfortunately, she won’t be able to see Vettori in action, because Team Delhi’s next game is against the Royal Challengers in Port Elizabeth and Raveena would have left by then.
Is she enjoying the rivalry of her colleagues — Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Shilpa Shetty?
Raveena disagrees. “I don’t think there’s any rivalry. It’s a game after all and they’re all friends.”
She is probably right, but once things start going down to the wire, things may not stay as rosy.
