The Hindi film and television industry will pay homage to the victims of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack on Thursday evening. General secretary of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees has sent out notices to film and producers to stop shooting for five minutes on 26/11 at 7pm.
He said, “In order to commemorate and pay homage to the martyrs who died during terrorist attack last year November 26, 2008 all affiliates have been advised to observe the Martyr’s Day with a 2-minute silence at 7 pm.”
“We are also requesting producers and others concerned with the industry so that the shooting schedules, wherever fixed, should be stopped on that date for at least 5 minutes at 7pm in order to pay homage to the martyrs,” he said.
