Titled the Nivea Visage Princess, Delhi/NCR girls were invited to participate. The criteria for participation was pretty simple – girls just had to walk in with any Nivea Visage product and their age, residence and marital proofs.
Held at the MGF Metropolitan Mall, Gurgaon over the weekend, the contest was judged by Nivea Visage skin expert Dr Rekha Sheth, Pantaloons Femina Miss India 2006 finalist and model Montu Tomar and Bollywood actress Soha Ali Khan.
Soha was excited to be judging the contest. “Though I’ve walked the ramp before, this is the first time I’m judging a pageant. The show was a lot of fun but it was quite difficult to zero in on the winners, as everybody was good on stage. Finally, we chose two winners for the contest.”
Ekta Chowdhry and Akanksha Yadav were crowned the Nivea Visage princesses in Delhi. The idea behind the event was to give talented young girls a chance to participate in the most coveted pageant in the country. The girls chosen from Mumbai and Delhi wild card auditions will get direct entry into the group of finalists for the Pantaloons Femina Miss India 2009 pageant.
Auditions for the same contest were held across Bangalore, Kolkata, Mumbai and Delhi. Faith Pandey, the NIVEA Visage princess from Bangalore has already won the Pantaloons Femina Miss India South 2009 title and has bagged a spot in the top 10 of the national pageant.
