London, June 5 (ANI): Acting legend Julie Walters has shaved her hair off so that she can portray late U.K. politician Mo Mowlam convincingly in an upcoming TV movie.
The Oscar nominee will portray Mowlam’s compelling political rise under former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, as well as her death from a brain tumour in 2005.
And Walters has decided to shave her head for the role of the popular politician in a one-off drama for Channel 4, which is to be broadcast in the U.K. next year.
“Julie didn’t have to shave her hair but she’ll go to any length to get into character,” the Daily Star quoted a source as telling British newspaper the Daily Mirror. (ANI)
